Samsung S4 (GT I9195) Android 5.0 or 5.1 Is it possible?

Hey i have a Samsung S4 (GT I9195) And i read that it's possible to update from the ageing 4.4.2 Kitkat to 5.0 or 5.1 unofficially so i was wondering what's the best guide to do it as it requires unlocking the Bootloader and rooting maybe. I'm new to android after switching from a iPhone 4 so could someone get back to me on it>?

Just do a web search for loading a custom ROM on an S4, just be ready to deal with issues like the thing not working with your provider properly without some additional work. It's probably not worth messing with a working phone to get a newer Android version. Last several updates my phone did actually made changes I did not like at all.
