cpu vid goes to 1.3v+ even though vcore is set to 1.26?

it would only go up to 1.26 until recently, when i updated my bios, after that it started going to 1.3v+. is this okay or does it sound unusual? my cpu is an i5 6600k and mobo is a z170 gaming 3

probably included an update to improve system stability. it's normal. you can optionally use LLC setting to control the range of the variation. otherwise, nothing to worry about.
