NZXT Kraken G10 and Corsair HG10 980 compatibility

I have a Gigabyte GTX980ti Xtreme Gaming OC Edition graphics card in my system currently and the problem I'm having is that it makes my computer a mini foot warmer under my desk. I came across the NZXT Kraken G10 and Corsair HG980 water cooling adapters but have found that neither seems to be compatible with my specific card. Is this something that has to do with components on the PCB that need to be cooled being different or is it due to clearance issues? If it is clearance related is it something that either of the adapters could be modified to fit around? As in cutting some of the adapter away that's causing it to not fit. I'm not really worried about aesthetics but mainly cutting down on some of the heat and noise produced by the GPU.

Thanks!

Hello!

Just to clear things up a bit, these components do not come with AIO water cooling units.
Now if you have already found one/own one than that's great!

The issue on the table is that the mounting brackets on the hg980 are not compatible with your card due to placement of mounting holes.

The NZXT Kraken G10 on the other hand should be compatible as it's only requirements are the GPU Core mounting holes which are standard. The reason for official incompatibility is that the 980 ti Gigabyte Extreme is 1.1 inches longer than a standard 980ti and therefore wont be directly over the GPU mosfets.

Even so though it will provide adequate cooling to the mosfets and PCB overall.

The only thing is that while the GPU will be cooler after...

The only thing is that while the GPU will be cooler after water cooling it, therefore will be quieter, it will still output the same amount of heat, as the same temperatures are still being pushed out the case.

If you were to mount the radiator and the fan to push away from under the desk, than you would definitely notice a more comfortable experience.

Hope I was of some help!
