I bought a pre-built Asus computer: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-asus-m32-desktop-pc-amd-a10-7800-2tb-hdd-16gb-ram-windows-10-m32bf-bh02-cb/10488551.aspx
I upgraded the graphics card to a GTX 1050 Ti: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500411&cm_re=gtx_1050_ti_mini-_-14-500-411-_-Product
I saw no improvement as my CPU has been bottlenecking the GPU. So I bought a Intel i5 6600: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-core-i5-6600-3-3ghz-processor-silver/4712001.p?skuId=4712001

I now need a motherboard and new DDR4 ram and I am not sure what motherboard and other parts will be compatible with my computer. I have heard that it is a micro atx case but I am not sure weather the PSU or Hard drive are asus specific.

I was wondering if I could buy these two components for my PC
RAM: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0123ZCN40/?tag=pcp0f-20
Motherboard: https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157685&cm_re=lga_1151_motherboard-_-13-157-685-_-Product

Thanks!

Solution
Hello!

Yes this solution would work perfectly!!!

The power supply nor hard drive is not much of an issue, but I'd suggest consulting with best buy, or the internet before installing the new parts, as when you replace a motherboard the product key will not be verified for it.

What I've done in years past is find the product key (using a 3rd party app called product key finder), copy it down on a piece of paper, uninstall the product key, place in the new components and re-install the product key, though I've never tried this with oem parts so it may be different for you.

Hope this was of some help!
