Hi, so i have a virgin media super hub at 50 mbps. I also have a ps4 in a seperate room located behind the room where the router is. My brother also has a ps4 and sits next to the router so he can play wired. i, on the other hand has to play wireless, i now want to play wired but i dont want to buy a really long ethernet cbale. My brother gets 48-50 mbps on speed tests where as i get about 13-25 (speed tests from our ps4s) I dont wany any wifi- boosters. i simply want to go wired . i tried a really long ethernet cable and was also getting 48-50. so ehternet is the cure but i dont want a really long wire. any ideas

If you own the house then you can run ethernet cable through the wall (just hop accross the wall if your router and PC are literally on the opposite sides of the wall, or up walls and accross attic/crawlspace if not).

Otherwise use powerline adapters like already stated. The TPLink brand ones are decent and the AV1000 are pretty much the same price as slower ones.
