what the heck is this and is it good for gaming?

this guy i know wants to make a trade with me and hes trading his new laptop.. im a gamer and iv always wanted to play wow and runescape and other pc exclusives.. But iv never heard of this cpu and gpu combo. can someone please educate me and tell me if i can actually game with this thing? everything els checks out (ram,storage,etc) Thanks AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G

You can game with any modern CPU on the integrated graphics, albeit at low settings, and this one is no different. Expect any game to run, but unless it's a low budget indie game or an older title, at greatly reduced settings and probably with slowdowns.

The A10 8700P's CPU portion is slower than a modern Intel laptop CPU for most gaming loads, but will have a slightly faster integrated GPU than Intel integrated graphics. I'd personally rather have something like an i3 or i5 7xxx, if it were priced similarly.

I have an A10 7400p Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G APU and it can't play anything much. I haven't tried WOW but it might run WOW.

As posted on Battle.net, the minimum requirement:

OS: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10 with latest service pack
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 or AMD Phenom II X3 720
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 440 or AMD Radeon HD 5670 or Intel HD Graphics 5000
RAM: 2 GB
