Why is my FPS low on RX480 8GB in CS:GO?

I have an old AMD FX-4100 3,6 ghz and RX480 8 GB version, and I cant get more than 90 FPS on my 1920*1080 resolution, is my CPU the bottleneck or?

Is it stuck at 90 FPS? Like it doesn't change?
Go into console and set Max FPS as something higher.

It is not capped at 90 FPS, it varies from 50 to 120, depending on the intensivity of combat, I dont understand, I thought Id get more than that in a game graphically as simple as a CS:GO

You can always try to overclock the CPU to see if you can get FPS.
CS:GO is a CPU bound game. IE its not very graphically intensive.

Nothing is wrong with the game, it's your CPU. You really should upgrade it if you want more FPS in basically every game because I bet it's the bottleneck 90% of the time.

The answer is your cpu's single core performance. CS:GO does amazing on intel just because intel cores have amazing single core performance.
