CPU Upgrade-Never ending beeps and my pc wont start

As you can see, i got a cpu that my dad had been using long time ago, and it works perfectly fine, but in some reason he will not use that pc anymore so i asked him to give it to me it is a Q8300 Intel Quad.

Problem is here so I tried replacing my Intel pentium e5500 with the q8300 intel quad ive been searching for the compatibility and saw that it is going to be fine so i tried replacing it, But i will only receive a never ending beeps if i put my old cpu back it works just fine.

My pc will be:
Acer Veriton m275
Intel Pentium E5500
NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

go to this website and download the p01-c2L, which is the latest and allow your system to run with Linux among other things.

There is no guarantee that it will work with that q8300. and flashing a bios there is a risk that your computer may be bricked.

put old cpu back in.

download the bios file into a usb (choose fat 32 file system when formatting).

turn off your computer

I cant do anything about this and i just have to give up? I was thinking i can upgrade this :(

Even if you think your computer froze or display turns off. Do not push reset or try to push the power button.

the computer will restart.

it will post but it will say new bios/cpu inserted. please press f1 to continue.

press f1. the computer should then reset normally.

you should have successfully flashed your motherboard bios.

Again. There is a risk and no guarantee that even after a successful flash of bios you will be able to use your q8300.

Because of the reason i cant back up my files, i dont have external memory to backup my files yet, and im new at making a pc, im planning to get that pc when i get back in his place.
