Hello everyone!
My problem is when I run a speedtest it shows a much slower download | upload speed than what I should be getting. I use the program Advanced SystemCare 10 to see my cpu/memory/disk usage. When I run www.speedtest.net, my cpu maxes out and everything becomes nonresponsive while my speeds drop.
This is my system:
Windows 7
Gigabyte F2A68HM-H (Using motherboard lan)
Athlon X4 760K
GSkill DDR3-1600
Crucial MX300 525GB Sata 3
About six months ago, I updated from a traditional hdd to ssd. Since then my cpu usage has gone up quite a bit performing various actions. I understand this is due to removing the hdd bottleneck and allowing much more data to be processed through my cpu. My question is why is my cpu maxing out when I'm running a speedtest? I'm suppose to get 300Mbps down and 50mbps up. I'm currently getting around 100Mbps.
