how to remove zotac extreme 1070 backplate

I want to paint using plastic dip the yellow stripes to orange, so can i just cover the whole plate and paint it or i should remove it entirely? if so how to remove backplate

There should be a bunch of tiny little screws on the backplate holding it to the PCB, there will also be 4 big screws on the back holding the cooler to the GPU die. DON'T REMOVE THOSE. Also don't paint anything near the PCB, if you want to change the color of the backplate then completely remove it. Also, if there are any thermal pads between the backplate and the PCB, leave them where they are and don't paint them

There are 7 really tiny screws to remove right? there is 1 med sized screw dont remove as well as the big 4 screws in the center right?

okay, so I remove the 7 tiny screws. Dont touch the 2 med sized screws or the 4 giant screws in the center right?

So did it work? I want to do the same thing, but kind of sketch about messing with it.
