I am updraging my pc  from a amd platform to a intel.
Right now my specs are:
Case: CYBERPOWERPC X-Saber 520 Mid-Tower Gaming Case w/ USB 3.0, Large Side Panel Window.
 Cpu:Amd fx 4300
Gpu:Amd rx 460
8gb ram.
The new things I am Gona buy is
 intel i5 3470
ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM(micro atx same as size are my current mobo)
(Gona use the ddr3 ram from my old system).
So the questions are:
Will the pc work If i just take out the old mobo and cpu and replace with the new parts?
Do I have to format my hdd so there is no driver issues?
Do I have to reinstall windows if I make these changes?
Will my pc case front panel pins work on the mobo like the power button and restart etc.

Sorry for the questions I am new to this and tired of pre built shit, so I want change any help you can provide is good also if you mean a lot of help I can give you a Arma 2 steam code with 3 dlc packs(only if you help :) )

Solution
Hard Drive: Yes, while you may get away moving from one AMD to another or one Intel to another. Going AMD to Intel usually requires a format and clean install.

Windows: You will likely have to buy a new license as OEM licenses do not transfer. If you upgraded to Windows 10 and registered it with a Microsoft Account. Then you may be able to get away with the new computer and use the old license. From what I have read this will not work with OEM upgrades.

Case: Your front panel pins should work with a new motherboard. Except if it has something uncommon like Firewire.

Congratulations on your upgrade.

As long as "you take out the old mobo, cpu, *and cpu cooler* and replace with the new parts."

In my experience any Windows installation from 7 up, shouldl 'just work' in another computer, even between AMD and Intel.

You shouldn't need to reinstall Windows but if you do you should just be able to stick in your Windows CD/USB and "Repair" your existing installation, although viruses could cause the repair to hang and require Windows to be reloaded.

Of course your old installation will probably need a bunch of new drivers but all or most should automatically come through Windows Update. If not, any drivers you're missing will be on the CD that will come with your new mobo. Obviously, don't try to do much if anything before you get them all installed.

Front panel pins are pretty standard but at least both the case and mobo ends should be well marked for you.

Best wishes.
