Alright so i need help with watercooling my PC

just noting that im not very experienced with tech and stuff but i do have decent knowledge so yeah

I recently got a new pc with an i7 7700k and decided not to overclock it. the motherboard is a gigabyte gaming k3. the cooler is arctic freezer 13 co.

problem is that when i render with sony vegas a video with the 4.5 GHz boost it goes from 75C at the start to 85C at ~30 minutes into the render. i want to buy a watercooler and i was having lots of questions after reading lots of reviews.

- What cooler to buy?
- Will it fit in my case? (Antec X1)

There is not really a budget limit, but i got recommendations like the corsair h115i and the x62 kraken and the price of these seem fine to me.

Note: i dont really care about RGB, i just want a good performance cooler that will give me the opportunity to go far with overclocking like 4.8 GHz and not be on such high temps.

thanks.

I would recommend going with the Kraken X62. I just got it a few months ago, and it does a VERY good job at keeping my CPU cool. I also do video editing, but most of my work is in compositing and motion graphics, so we are kinda in the same boat. But it appears that your case can only support 120mm radiator coolers, so the Kraken might not work for you, since it is a 280mm cooler. Maybe look into the Corsair AIO liquid cooler. My friend has one in his rig right now and it has given him stellar performance.

Yeah, I also had my doubts about the cooler when I first thought about getting it. But to be honest, it is a great AIO water cooler, and is very capable of keeping your temps WELL in check. But it is your build. For air cooling, I had the Dark Rock 3 from 'BeQuiet!'. The installation is a bit frustrating (you might have to take out your motherboard for installation, but you'd have to do this for most after-market coolers anyway). But this beefy CPU air cooler did an AMAZING job keeping my temps cool, and is an all around GREAT CPU air cooler. My idle's stayed around the 30's, and max load my CPU rarely went above the mid 70's.

I wanted to go for water cooling but turns out my case is not big enough for 240 or 280mm radiator like nzxt or corsair's ones. i have the antec X1-T case and its dimensions are 475 mm (H) x 180 mm (W) x 435 mm (D)

Yeah, it looks like your case can only support a 120mm AIO cooler, which isn't bad, it just won't support the new NZXT AIO or the newer Corsair ones. But it can support the older, single radiator AIO's from corsair. From the looks of things, your case will be able to support Corsair's H55, H60, H75, and H80i V2. These you can configure on the rear exhaust.
