Graphics card and motherboard, can I use both at the same time for different displays?

I just bought a new Wacom drawing pad and it requires me to use a display port. I have a gtx 1070 and I am running my monitor though that, I have 3 display ports on the gtx but the PC case I am using is blocking the way of the cable head and it only inserts half way, making the 3 ports useless. Could I run my monitor though the gtx and the Wacom drawing pad though the motherboard using a HDMI adaptor?

Thanks for the feedback, I know these are the right answers but it still isn't working I assume this is because of the tablet im using and what it needs to work. I tried going into the BIOS and changing the multi monitor display to enabled, still no luck. I'm not sure if it will work with HDMI might only work using Display port. might have to remove a small part of my metal PC case to allow the display port to fit, pretty risky but I'm desperate.
