I am building a pc for the 1. time, and i have just discovered that my motherboard (MSI H110M Gaming) isen't compatible with my CPU (I5-7500) without a BIOS update. So how can I update the BIOS?
I don't have an older CPU.

As a cheaper solution, you can also purchase a pre-programmed BIOS chip on ebay (with the latest BIOS version, or any other version you want) for virtually all motherboards. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller. It involves replacing the chip by yourself, though. It is easy, but I know some people who are uncomfortable with this idea.

Hmm, i hoped that i could do it without spending more money. I haven't unpacked the motherboard yet, i will return it and pay 15 pounds more for a compatible motherboard.

If a friend could borrow me his sky lake i3, could it work?

And is it possible that it is "factory" updated if it is produced recently?

You are right *pacepalm*. I am still stuck in times when BIOS chips were easily replaceable, apparently :) Ahh, good ol' times...
