GTX 1070 false reading?

Solution
Just checking no one has "serviced" your computer or anything? Can you open the case take a look and double check its still a 1070 in there? ;)

Or just uninstall all the nvidia drivers, download the newest again from nvidia.com and see what it shows up as.

My previous card was a R9 270X
And it's showing up in the Device manager as a 970. I've had the card for about a year now, and it read as 1070 in Device Manager/My Rig originally too. I just noticed it now because I went in to mess with some settings on the GeForce Experience app

It shows up as GTX970, and yeah, I'm sure. I had saved up and got it when they came out, got it from Best Buy for like $550~ (It was the easiest place to get it since I didn't trust my neighbors to not steal my packages). And yeah, I had got it when they were still really new. Better wording would probably have been "almost a year" instead of "about". My apologies for that

I'm the only one that messes with my pc as far as I know, but I'll check just in case :p
And I'll reinstall the drivers and see how that does as well
