Ive got a friend who's selling his old setup
I7 4970k
Gigabyte z97x ud5h black edition
Crosair dominator plat. 16gb 2x4gb

Or i could wait for the ryzen 5 and get the following
Ryzen 5 1500x
Any b350 mobo
Crosair vengeance 16 gb

And i have an evga gtx 1060 3gb sc

Should i buy the old setup or buy a brand new ? Ryzen might cost me slightly more money in where im located

I dont know what psu he has got to be honest. And i think the best pick in the ryzen 5 series will be the 1500x considering its 30 dollars less and performs slightly close to 1600, let alone thr 1600x doesnt come with a cooler.

I do play games and do some youtube videos so its not only gaming in my case....im just not sure if i should get the old build and for how long its gonna survive vs the brand new ryzen build

Up to you, if the i7 system is significantly cheaper than what it would cost you to build a ryzen system and you are going to primarily game I would personally recommend the i7 system.
