You need a B250 or H270 mobo with a DDR4 RAM. He can still have a B150 mobo for lowering the price but he need a BIOS update which is a big hassle. Change your PSU to Seasonic S12II 520w. And add a SSD if he can.


And yes it will be good for gaming at 1080p if he can extend his budget a little bit and get a RX 480 or a 1060 6GB.
