Hi everyone. So I decided the best option for my PC gaming rig was to go the upgrade route. So ASROCK's support pages seem to contradict themselves and their tech support's one sentence answer didn't give me any confidence.

On this page (http://www.asrock.com/support/cpu.us.asp?s=AM3%2b&u=495) they claim that motherboards with AMD 770 chipset and AM3+ socket should support the FX 8370

But on the CPU support page for my model (http://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/770iCafe/index.asp#CPU) only goes up to the FX 8350.

Could there be any problems if I go with the FX 8370 chip?

thing is if not listed in the supported CPU page of the motherboard then you have to look at that as a unsupported CPU

each one of the cpu's listed has a microcode in the bios for each CPU used so that board for what ever reason just did not get any support for that chip ..

now it may work but you do that all at your own risk

bottom line is not listed as supported means its not supported
