So after a long period of playing battlefield 1 or gta 5 i get really bad fps stutter, it's really bad in battlefield it's jumping between 0 and 90 constantly and in gta it even shows when driving fast. Even in Black Ops 3, sometimes when i start moving from the spawn it gets huge stutter for about 10 seconds and then never lags for the rest of the game, and in Infinite Warfare that i tested on free weekend it keeps stuttering constantly it's unplayable. PC temps don't even go that high gpu goes up to 70c but thats normal and the cpu stays under 60c. I also have a BitFenix Nova case with only 1 fan case and it's collecting lot of dust and has a bad ventilation. I've considered upgrading to 16GB of ram, 1 extra case fan or a ssd if that helps but i am really low on money :(. Oh and on my old pc (i5 4460s, gtx 745, 8gb ram) GTA 5 runs perfectly fine 50 fps 1080p on normal graphics.

SPECS

ASUS B150m-a
i5 6600k@stock
HyperX Fury 2133MHz DDR4 (4x4GB)
Palit GTX 1060 Dual 6GB
Silverstone 600W, Strider Essential, ATX 2.3, 80 Bronze
Seagate 1TB SV35 HDD

Help would be appreciated because i feel like a total retard buying BF1 only just to lag there.
Update: I did a bios update and still get that huge lag in black ops 3, i removed avast, and my memory should be fine (checked with Windows Resource Monitor). Still no improvement at all.

No this is a whole new system and with a fresh installment of windows. I haven't upgraded anything yet expect my grapics card on this system. Unless you mean that? I haven't reinstalled my Windows after upgrading my gpu but i completely deleted old drivers.

I have been thinking of a hard drive issue aswell but HD Tune says it's fine and quick defragment sayed it was fine too but when i tried normal defragment i left it be when i went to sleep and after that i went to school and when i came back i booted my pc bios sayed the system crashed. (But it was defragging like 14+ hours so no wonder it crashed.) PS. the same thing happens in bf1 and sometimes is so bad it doesn't and i just alt+f4. in infinite warfare it's constantly lagging and in gta it happens in high speed.

I could see one slow device in your PC configuration, that is 'Seagate 1TB SV35 HDD'
SV means surveillance, these category disks are made for continuous running not for Performance

If this disk could be replaced with SSD, then you will get significant performance improvement

If you want to stick to present configuration, then do the disk de-fragmentation and make sure disk is free from virus and malwares

It doesn't really matter what HDD he's using, as long as it's 7200 RPM, it's good. You can literally have a WD Blue go up against a more expensive WD Black and sometimes, the WD Blue would be on top.

What I would suggest the OP to do is uninstall GPU drivers using DDU and reinstall the latest one again.

I have ordered a new hybrid drive called Firecuda SSHD. It should arrive this week and i will update you if it has any difference in performance but the next question is will i be able to "copy" windows or move every single file from the old drive to the new one?

The new harddrive didn't work in GTA 5 but it did increase my loading times and fps a little bit in CSGO. I even did a system reset but should i still try the DDU?
