Im upgrading my FX 8320 to an AMD 8370 with my AM3+ Motherboard. I was wondering what I need to do before installing a new cpu? is their anything special I.E deleting software or changing bios settings

Ditto, won't give you any additional performance, don't bother investing further into AM3, your next step is a new processor, probably an Intel assuming you're gaming not rendering etc.

Before going through with this purchase, I feel compelled to tell you, as a former 8320 owner, that you can essentially turn your 8320 into a 8370 with a simple overclock. What is your motherboard? It might come with something like OC Genie that can do this for you without any trouble.

If you're deadset on buying an 8370, though, no changes necessary. Just swap them out.
