Is this true, or do some External Hardrives require the orignal SATA Bridge it comes with to work properly?

Solution
All drives have a small variety of connections in their bare base form, from IDE to SATA to U.2, SAS and M.2. External drives all have built in hardware or adapters that convert from, example SATA to USB installed by the manufacturer. Some of these chipsets require software or drivers to run properly but in the end the drive is just like any other drive you can get and you can wipe and use it like them just the same.

Always back up your data first before moving drives. There's a low chance you will may need to completely wipe the drive after extracting it from an external case or installing it in one, really depends on what you're trying to do and what drive, case or adapter you're using.
Hello... ALL is without exception? B / ...Well typically a external is just a STD HD/SSD with a internal SATA to USB convertor... the problem with using theses is a huge decline of DATA transfer speed... But having the ability to work/backup or look at a HD/SSD using a "adaptor" is very handy for me at times. B /
