so recently i got few promotion on graphic card. i will go on for gtx 550 ti. as i googled for its performance, i just know it is a power hungry card. question is dcan my psu support it? my psu hv 500w peak. i dont really understand how to calculate the amps for my 12v rail as it state like +12v1 +12v2 -12v something like tht. and plus my psu dont have the 6 pin. so i will use converter to convert 2 molex into 6 pin. can my psu support it? thanks in advance

Solution
That GPU requires about 120W of power max and 1 6-pin connector. The label on your supply should tell you how many amps it delivers per 12V rail.
While you certainly can get away with using converters, these are really not recommended.
Rather spend a few coins and get a supply that does have a connector. For that card a decent 450-500W PSU would be quite sufficient.
