Asus 1070 Dual, Replacement Fans?

I have recently gotten ASUS GTX 1070 Dual OC 8GB.

I have literally put my finger in it and broke a blade off the fan. Without having to fork out and buy a new cooler & fans, is it possible to swap the fans from an MSI GTX950 Gaming. I know the actually cooler fits comfortably on the 1070 (with some overhang). The pins from both fans are the same........But are the MSI fans compatible? Will it operate and power the fans correctly? With the temps be detected? Will the fans throttle like normal? etc. etc.?

swapped the cooler and fans over from the 950 to the 1070. GREAT SUCCESS, everything works as per normal no issues at all. Idle 3 degrees cooler and under full load 8! degrees cooler. bearing in mind I am comparing temps with the one broken blade on the stock asus fans. also could be a difference with new thermal paste.

yeah heaksink and all. it has some over hang but all in all a lot cheaper than buying aftermarket. keep your old hardware never know when youll need it.

I just broke one of my fan blades off of my asus 1070 Dual OC. pissed. would you want to sale your good one?
