i have intel dx58so - i7 950 - 16 gb ram - 1 tb ssd and 500 gb ssd - 1 tb hhd - 750 watt power supplay

i use to play game with gtx 970 and i bout gtx 1080 and my cpu couldn't handle the gtx 1080 and i mess a lot of fps so i decide to upgrade the cpu and i think i7 6800k will be good but what do you suggest about the motherboard ?
and i the i7 6800k good Choice for gaming ?

I would suggest a ASUS board. Currently I am using ASUS Z270e ROG strix mobo. It is full of features. Although if you don't want to spend that much you can take a look at ASUS Z270f model.

Hi, I don't think the i7 6800k will be compatible with your motherboard. Get a z270 motherboard and Intel i7 7700k if your primary need is gaming.

I7 6800k is a six Core processor that won't benefit you in gaming as clocks are lower than i7 7700k. And whichever processor you choose, you need to upgrade your motherboard.
