After formatting HD system not booting

I have formatted the HD for fresh OS installation. After restarting the computer its not booting any more, not even with CD. Signal is not coming to the Monitor but the CPU green light is blinking. Please suggest.

Formatted the disk through diskpart.

please help.

Usually a blinking light means sleep mode. You don't even see the BIOS screen come up when you turn on the system? Check all the connections, power, drive connections, etc...

Wiping the hard drive will not cause issues when you can't get an image on the monitor, something else must have happened at the same time to cause the boot issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. The issue got resolved after removing the power cord for a while and restarting the pc. Now is there any way to recover files from previous Windows???
