And before you say "check the forums you idiot!", i did. Nothing seemed to be my exact situation or anywhere near any concise replies or is just too old.

Any-who, here's my specs first:

Intel Core i5-2500
10gb ram
Asus p8h67-v motherboard (feel free to check out the page for it)
standard 1080p monitor
basic mouse, keyboard
RX 480 4gb
hyper 212 evo cooler
rosewill galaxy 01 case (to be changed)

i recently bought a i7-3770 to replace my aging 2500, but to do this, i had to take off my cooler and remove two mem slots to hold a mount in place and remove the cooler normally since the standoff was moving with a screw.

So i got the new cpu in, put the mem back in, put the cooler back on, and put the 8 pin power connector back into my mobo.
Tried to turn it on, and it looks like it's on and running, but alas, no video is coming out. Regardless of output i try (dvi, hdmi, etc)

I heard that it's the memory, or i need to update my bios, blah blah blah. I've already tried those, my bios is the most updated from asus right now and clearly states it's ready for the i7 i have.
My mobo has something called "OKmemory" which does something like make varying types of ddr3 mem not mess each other up when put all together. It had a red led on it on, and i wasn't sure if it was supposed to be green, so i tried that little feature, which didn't seem to change, then i cleared the cmos. Unplugged the graphics card, put it back in, and still nothing.

Then, due to me just wanting to be able to use the pc till my new case comes in, i just replaced the cpu back to my 2500, and it works like nothing happened to it. The mobo manual asus has doesn't really help, and support isn't that available.

The only other thing i can think of doing now is trying the i7 again when i'm home and seeing if it screws up again.

Any new ideas? There's a lot of threads on this but no one really gives an answer and i really really don't wanna have to just sell these cpus and mobo to get a new one right now.
(and no, the only things unplugged the first time were two dimm slots and the mobo 8 pin power and cpu fan, not the graphics card)

(UPDATE): After looking at others use the "memOK" feature, it seems it's supposed to turn green when usable.
However, they also say that you need to hold down the button for it for three seconds. When i tried the feature when the pc was booting on, it would only instantly turn the pc off, and try to post again. This time, the led was slowly flashing red. It then turned off by itself and did this three more times unti the flashing became a solid red. then it stayed up, but still no video.
I'll try and do this when the pc is just off but plugged in, and see what happens.

Solution
I found out that it was apparently the memory that i had to take out and put back in to put my cooler back on, did something to the MemOK thing. Apparently when i put my 2500 back in it ran fine, so i was able to take the cooler off without taking the memory out again and replaced it with the 3770. Works like new now.

Thanks for the input anyways.
the cpu should be compatible with that board according to many sources, as long as your bios is at least v3506
the LED by your ram does indicate the system has not found a timing between cpu and ram, you mention 10GB ram, and I wonder what is composing this 10GB of ram, if it s an 8gb and a 2GB I would remove the 2GB and try to boot with just the 8GB or if 2x4GB + 2GB again remove the of man out of ram and try to boot again, and yes I understand it works fine with your 2500, but were trying to make it work with a 3770 aren't we?

"It then turned off by itself and did this three more times unti the flashing became a solid red. then it stayed up, but still no video."
are you sure you did not bend any pin on the cpu itself or inside the cpu tray?
