I currently have a psu of 500 W.
I know for a fact that I could be able to get msi nvidia gtx 1060 gb on this psu, but i'm planning on upgrading to a much more powerful CPU so I don't know if I should buy a stronger PSU now or not because my favorite card out of these is the sapphire amd rx 480 8gb+nitro because its 50 euro's cheaper than a 1060 and just a little bit more expensive than a 470. The problem is that the recomended psu for rx480 is 500 W and thats a stretch. So i'm wondering if I get this 1060 and a very powerful processor will I have to buy a new psu or i'm going to able to stay with this one. Because if i'm already buying a new psu I might aswell go with my favorite card rx480 which requires the most power, but since i'm already buying a new psu it doesn't matter

Well heres the thing, for example, if its a 500w Diablotek, then no you need to replace it. If its a 500w Seasonic its a keeper.

Because its pre-built I would lean towards crappy PSU, its rare they put good ones in.

I can't open up my case because my PC is under warranty, but I know it's 12V. I'm currently running a AMD A8 6600K with 12 gb ddr3 1600 mhz and I wan't to upgrade to i7 4790k

You're going to need to open the case up anyway to install the GPU, may as well do it now. Who cares about the warranty at this point.

Also regarding that you want an i7-4790k, that CPU will not work in your current motherboard, so you'll need to replace that as well. That means warranty is definitely totally gone.

The warranty is not gone if I replace the gpu, motherboard and the cpu in their store. It sounds weird but it works. So I really can't open up that case bcs I got half a year more of warranty and then when I install those new components I get a new warranty on them aswell. I know I will need a new motherboard.

Basically the ideal thing for me would be if I would buy one of these GPU's and then buy that I7 4790k and not have to upgrade my PSU.
