Solution
6600k don't come with CPU coolers, so you will need one.

Youtube, plenty of guides for building a PC. And you can always ask questions here if you get stuck.

Why would you buy another gtx 770? That's an ancient card. What's your primary use? Plus it's costlier than gtx 1060. Why not a complete system overhaul?

i7-860 (LGA1156) -> i5-3570k (LGA1155), you'll need a Z77 motherboard with SLI support. As this is fairly old hardware, you may have to shop for used parts.

Both DDR3, so you could make an attempt at keeping the memory, though it is a tad slow at 1333. I suggest simply buying a new DDR3 2x8GB kit at like 2133 or 2400.

770 SLI isn't ideal, but if that is what you have you'll certainly need a decent sized case and a power supply. Something in the 750-850W range will be good. I recommend the RM750x or RM850x.

As for a case. A lot of that is personal preference, but a good size mid tower will be adequate. Perhaps a NZXT S340 or Phanteks Enthoo.

At $80 it really isn't that bad a deal. A GTX770 is a little faster than a GTX1050Ti, a pair of them is around a 980Ti if I recall correctly. There will be the troubles of SLI and not everything supports it, but it should work for a time.

The reason you need a new motherboard isn't necessarily that your motherboard is bad. It's that the CPU you have and the CPU you are buying are two different sockets. Have you tried going to pcpartpicker.com? It will filter out incompatible parts for you. so you just choose your CPU and it will show you the motherboards that work. That would be the easiest way I think.

Its asinine to pay all this money to upgrade your computer to 2013 specs, and finding an SLI capabile socket 1155 board is going to be diffiuclt, and likely not any cheaper then a new motherboard.

I would just do a full upgrade.
Preferably an i5 kabby lake cpu and b250 motherboard, ddr4 memory, and a gtx 1060.

With this build or your attempt to "upgrade" to 2013 specs you will have to do a full windows reinstall due to the platform change

Im buy the new cpu and other gtx 770 off one of my friends, and i have a 750 watt ps already, lol and i know nothing about motherboards and cpus, id prefer if you guys just give me a link of a motherboard, and tbh the games i want to play are bf1 and like arma 3 and h1z1 and the new battlegrounds game and thats really it tbh, so if you guys can i need a link for a mobo to buy and some ram, and thats basically it i think well besides the case which i think im gonna go with one that eximo suggested

I was looking at brand new gtx 770, not a used one and it was costly. Buying old hardware at such price is pointless.

Can't see the whole list, but those parts aren't going to work together.

You need an LGA1155 motherboard. P67 or Z77, preferably Z77 since it is newer and will support the CPU out of the box.

B150 is LGA1151 and designed for 6th gen chips. i5-3570k is a 3rd gen.

After some digging i found the right motherboard lol
Biostar Intel LGA1155 Z77 Chipset ATX 2600MHz DDR3 Memory Motherboard (TZ77XE4)
Has sli support and i checked compatibility on pcpartpicker everything looks like it will work!!

That motherboard will work with a 3rd gen i5 but will not support SLI
To support SLI you would need something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASRock-Z77-Extreme4-LGA-1155-Intel-Motherboard-/332167357091?hash=item4d56b7a2a3:g:ticAAOSw4CFY2qjV
Frankly your upgrade path is a very poor investment. You are dumping $170 into cpu and motherboard to barley go anywhere as a 3rd gen i5 will have only marginal gains over a 1st gen i7

Instead of running

My advice is to just sell your 770, get a 1060 and run that for the time being, dont bother with ram upgrade right now either because any new platform will not use ddr3.

Then when you can get this:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.69 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($68.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($99.97 @ Jet)
Total: $358.15
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-03-28 15:00 EDT-0400

That is WAY better then putting $270 into already 4 year old tech, and used parts to boot.

Biostar is pretty much second from the bottom in motherboard companies, your odds of a used biostar working correctly is slim, odds of it staying working for very long is even slimmer.

That should do it.

A GTX1060 is half your budget, you could get a cheap motherboard, CPU, and memory and be around the same price, but I think it would perform worse now, but be better for upgrades later.

If you instead purchased only the CPU/Motherboard/Ram (i5-7600k/Z270/DDR4) and still used your GTX770 SLI that would hold you over for a while until you could afford to get a new GPU.

Either way, you'll be able to play most recent games.
