Current Specs on my Gaming Laptop
-Intel Core I7-4770K
-Nvidia Geforce GTX 860m
-Toshiba 1TB Hard Drive
-Windows 10
(Peripheral List)
-Blue Yeti Microphone Blackout Edition
-Corsair Gaming K70 RGB Keyboard
-Corsair Gaming M65 Gaming Mouse

I have been using this laptop for about four years now and it definitely has become outdated. For a bit of an example I have close to 300 hours in Witcher 3 while the game ran on an average of 26fps. I have decided I needed an upgrade to a gaming pc. As the title above states I want to build a PC that will be future proof for the next 4-5 years or as close as possible to this. I have done a lot of research in regards to creating my first ever Gaming PC, but I figured it would not hurt to ask advice from people with more experience than myself. Listed below is the build I have put together, any input would be appreciated.

Why don't you add a SSD? I have added a SSD and a different motherboard that is Z270 but it has SLI, can be upgraded to use Kabylake and is cheaper PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YpsMKZ

My notes:
1. I've tried that monitor and returned it in a couple days for its sturdier cousin: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-U2515Hx-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B01M0LDXTL/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490721407&sr=8-1&keywords=u2515hx
Same IPS panel, just better calibrated, supports VESA mounts, better looking all around, and thin bezel. It was worth it over the Acer. Find my reviews in there for both!
2. With more games coming out with 8 core/thread support, our i5s will slowly become second rate to the i7s in gaming. You may want to consider a H270/Z270 with a i7-7700k to be truly future proof.
3. I like everything else.

Thank you for the notes, I will definitely look into the monitor posted below. I was also considering getting an I7 just to be perfectly safe when it comes to future proofing. I am glad everything else in the build looks solid
