PC Shuts Off During Games

Hello, I have been having problems in the last few months with my computer. It has been randomly rebooting itself while playing games and it makes it impossible to have a good time with my friend. I am using a Intel i7 6700k with a GTX 1070, and I am using an EVGA Supernova 750w P2. I know this is more than enough power for my machine, yet it constantly restarts. I have tried everything, unplugging wires from my power supply and plugging them back in, cleaning out my cpu cooler with compressed air, and nothing is overclocked in my PC as far as I know. This is getting ridiculous as I only built my PC around last july or august. I have tried using Furmark and my GPU never goes over 70 degrees celcius. While in my BIOS, the CPU monitor told me it was at around 30 degrees Celsius. My MOBO is an ASUS Maximus Hero VII Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Are you familiar with the Windows Event Viewer (assuming you have Windows)? Go to the Control Panel, Under System & Security go to Administrative Tools. Then to Event Viewer. On the left side, you should see Windows Logs. Click the small arrow to the left of it to expand it, then click to select System. Then in the center you will see a bunch of events there. Find the ones with the same date and time as the time when your system shuts off. You mostly want to look for Warning or Error in the first Level column there. Click to highlight it and then down toward the bottom it will provide a description of what the particular event was that took place. If you find any error or warning, can you let me know what the description was?

Yes, for warning the text said: "File System Filter 'wcifs' (Version 10.0, ‎2016‎-‎09‎-‎15T09:42:03.000000000Z) failed to attach to volume '\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1'. The filter returned a non-standard final status of 0xC000000D. This filter and/or its supporting applications should handle this condition. If this condition persists, contact the vendor."
For Error it says: "The description for Event ID 7024 from source Service Control Manager cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

HomeGroupListener
%%2147944153

The locale specific resource for the desired message is not present"

But what I think is most important is what it says for Critical: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." as this was right when on of the shutoffs occured

Hmm, any idea what hard drive you have?

A few things I'd say to check:

If you have Seagate HD, Seagate has the SeaTools for Windows you can download and run tests to make sure your hard drive is not failing. Failing hard drive could be causing it. I had that issue before..

Power supply going bad can also be causing it..

Overheating.. What are your cpu temperatures showing in BIOS when this happens?

And one more thing, in your event viewer, check the Application Log as well to see if there are any errors in there around the time of the shut downs, maybe some application is causing it.

No I do not have a Seagate HD, I am using a Western Digital Blue 1tb and a Samsung EVO 850 250gb SSD for my OS. I am almost positive the problem is not in my hard drive because I switched Rust and Battlegrounds to my SSD and it still restarts, even worse than before now that I think about it. My temperatures seemed fine on the Bios, as the CPU was only 30 degrees Celsius. And there was an error at around the time of the restart. One right before just saying that the previous restart was unexpected, but the other error said: "The description for Event ID 7024 from source Service Control Manager cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer."

Hmm, see if you have any .dmp files in C:\Windows\Minidump , if so can you upload them somewhere to google drive or something?

Another long shot, try pulling your ram one stick at a time and see if the issue still continues or not.

Somehow the problem went away for a few months. But alas, it has risen again. There are no files in the minidump. I tried moving my ram to the other two slots and the problem still persists. Windows memory diagnostic says there are no problems with ram. I still have you to try one stick at a time. There was a message from the event view from the last critical event (PC rebooting), it says
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
Followed by a warning, which says
"The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\_??_USBSTOR#Disk&Ven_ADATA&Prod_USB_Flash_Drive&Rev_1.00#09021000000000002091385323&0#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}."

I've noticed my power supply power supply (lol) cable is a little loose, but I don't see how it can affect only gaming. It was weird, this morning I was able to play Far Cry 4 for a few hours, but then tonight I got kicked off of a match of Playerunkown's Battlegrounds almost immediately! I also noticed that I had a USB plugged in for a while, since right around when the problem started up again. Can a usb shut down my computer??? But I am really getting irritated, as summer is just beginning and I can't enjoy the luxurious of my PC.
