Is it still worth it to keep this card, as many motherboard makers now make the effort on the embedded sound card on their motherboards, should I keep it or sell it ?
Will I notice a difference if I sell it ?
Headset: Kingston HyperX cloud.
Motherboard: Asus p8z77v-deluxe.

Solution
Ah, missed that part.
@OP, if you're looking to spend over about $150 on headphones in the near future, keep the card as it may be useful with the higher impedance cans out there, if not, sell it.
I looked up your motherboard, and it has an average quality onboard sound..nothing exceptional.
My worry was if your Sound Blaster had drivers for more recent OS'es, and it does..it has up to and including Windows 10. It is also a serious card. I'd go with the SB and know I have the best sound I can get, and versatility for the future.

My resolution is that if you're spending more money on a soundcard than your headphones are actually worth, it's a pointless investment.
Hell, I run my Sennheiser Game Zeros off a Sound Blaster Z (purely because I use it with my other headphones) and I can't tell the difference between onboard!

He already has the soundcard tho.
