Hi , i am new to this and want to change my msata with a bigger 256gb, but my problem is i can see my old msata24Gb in bios configuration but it be NOT displayed in my explorer thus it have no drive ciffer, can any body help ?

Solution
yes. and that's the point it has a different BIOS and chipset(probably) that's why it worked. you can read the 1st response that said "it is reported that 32gb is the maximum size that can be installed."

My laptop Lenovo Ideapad u510 with motherboard Lenovo Invalid (u3e1) version 31900003WIN8 STD MLT, Bios Lenovo
Version 6FCN32WW(V2.00

EDIT: (i think i found the answer)
good now what brand/model is the msata. also how big is it?

...it seems that the Lenovo Ideapad u510 only supports up to 32GB maximum size.

Open Disk Management.
Do you see the drive in there?

Well..

You have the evidence in your hand, vs a random post from someone who may or may not have your exact laptop.
