Hey guys, I usually don't post on forums so hopefully this is the right place and I'm not breaking any rules.
I was playing games on my PC when randomly everything froze and I actually had to manually shut down my computer. When I turned it back on I got the error "A Disk Read Error Has Occurred". I tried restarting and I get the same error.
I have my OS installed on a Samsung Evo 250GB SSD and I have mostly everything else installed on a 1TB hard drive. The SSD is only 6 months old if that helps.
I know the boot order is correct, and I've checked if it was my bios settings. This is the first time I've really been dumbfounded by a problem, I guess I'm just asking what are the odds that my relatively new SSD is faulty? Has anyone had experience with this problem?
I've also heard that RAM could be an issue, how would I go about checking the RAM without the computer booting to Windows? Just test different slots until it turns on or something?
Any advice is appreciated
Edit: Also unsure how to get to the command prompt from the bios to test other fixes
