Hi guys, just got and slammed my 1080ti into my rig and cranked everything to ultra. Everything is running smoother than ever, but as I was playing bf1 I noticed my gpu heat would sometimes peak at 84 degrees Celsius, and stable at about 76-80. Tried to run Furmark for a stress test and got about the same results. Do you guys know if this is normal or should I be looking for an extra fan? (running at my 1080p while waiting for a sweet 1440p)

My rig:
Intel Core i7-3960x 3.3Gz
Asus gefore 1080ti fe
24gb DDR3 RAM
Crosair TX 850W psu
Asus P9x79 LE

Solution
Yeah totally normal for a founders edition card.

You can do a custom fan profile, and run the fan faster which will keep it cooler and give you a little more performance with GPU boost, but you will suffer a little more noise from the fan.

If you have a good CPU cooler, I would suggest overclocking your CPU also to make the most of the performance of the 1080 ti.

Thanks! Now I can finally sleep without nighmares about my sweet gpu in flames.
Just happened to install a new crosair hydro 55 water cooler on my cpu yesterday! good thing I changed it then :D
btw, I'm fairly new to this, how do I set the custom fan profile?
