Slow network at boot, multiple connections, 10 minute wait...

Hey guys.

I'm having difficulties with my network connection on my custom built PC. It use to work fine until I upgraded to Windows 10.

Whenever I start my PC I literally have to sit and wait for my internet connection to load. This can take up to 10 minutes at times.

I've been doing a bit of observation work on my PC and can see that my PC usually takes up to 3/4 minutes loading an IP address, then another 5 to load the DNS, so I can't access web pages for a while.

In Network and Sharing Centre, it shows I have over 50 connections. I have my main connection (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller), then it shows loads of 'TAP-Win32 Adapter OAS' and 'V9' connections. I use Virtual box but have had that disabled for some time, so no idea where these connections have come from.

I tested with another PC and it loads instantly from my cable, so it's not a connection issue to the router. I have uninstalled all the random connections from Device Manager and renewed my IP address. I have also updated the network driver to the latest version.

I haven't rebooted and tested it yet but can anyone provide some other means of testing and fixes for it? Could it be a faulty NIC? I'm using the on-board connection from my Asus P8Z77-V LX board and have no additional network cards. Could it be a software issue, maybe something in the services?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
