So, I have an Asus H110I -D3 Plus, it is one of the few boards that support DDR3.

When I bought the board I decided to replace my standard DDR3 with DDR3l for the longevity of my CPUs IMC, but i recently found out about memory under volting, I think I could have done this to begin with..

What my question is. Can i take my standard DDR3 (1.5V stock) and under volt it to 1.35V so that it will match my DDR3L in voltages and not damage my skylake CPU??

Thanks!

Solution
You can absolutely lower the voltage of the memory(so long as there is an option in the bios). The worst that will happen is the system won't boot or is unstable. In that case, clear the cmos.
