Help please with 2 kits of 2x4gb Ripjaws DDR4 in a AsRock Z170 Extreme4 board

Hi Community,

So Im trying to install the second set of ddr4 ram 2x4gb into my motherboard and I cant seem to get all 4 working. I can get 3 in for 12gb but not the fourth one to work.

Any ideas?

Asrock Z170 Extreme4 motherboard
Intel i5-6600k
700w themaltake power supply

Solution
Mixing memory (from different kits) is always a lottery, the memory might or might not work together (properly).

Try memory from one kit in 1st and 2nd slots, and the memory from the other kit in 3rd and 4th slots. If that doesn't work swap the memory from slots 1 and 2 into slots 3 and 4, and memory from slots 3 and 4 into slots 1 and 2.

If still having issues, raise DRAM Voltage by 0.05 V, and don't exceed 1.35 V.

If still having issues, raise VCCSA Voltage by 0.05 V also.
