nvidia windoes kernel driver 378.92 crashed and succefully recoverd and then sound from the computer stops and cpu usage drops

randomly when i use the computer (it moslty happens when i play video gamed) my screen turns black for a second and i get this error "nvidia windoes kernel driver 378.92 crashed and succefully recoverd" and after that my cpu usage drops significntly and all audio output from the computer stops and i cannot play videos or anything even on the intenet and the only way i found to fix it is to restart the computre and hope it will not happen again.
i have no clue what to do i have does someone know how to fix it?

specs:
gpu: gtx 970
cpu:i5-2300 2.80ghz
system:windoes 7 ultimate 64 bit
browser:google chrome

umm i dont know how do i check? and a few weeks ago i used msi afterburner to set my core voltage to -7 and it reduced the frequency this kernal crash happens so im not sure if its this or somthing else
[EDIT] i am going to try and set the core voltage in msu afterburner to +35 to see if that will help
