I was able to hook up my Samsung 40 tv to my computer with a dvi-d to hdmi cable AFTER I removed a female to female hdmi adapter that I had in there to extend the length of the cable. and I was able to use the dvi-I output to hook up a old monitor that has a vga connector by using a dvi-I to vga adapter
