However DDR4 memory (which the 6600 supports) can make a drastic improvement in performance for specific games. The games I know of are Fallout 4, GTA V, and Arma.

I wouldn't upgrade from an i5 to an i5 though, $200 isn't worth the 10%-20% you're gonna get.
