Hello all,

I'm looking to get a new semi-modular psu for my system and i really need some advice to help me choose. My system consist of :

Cpu : i7 4770K
Ram : 8gb DDR3 2133Mhgz
GPU : AMD RX 480 8GB
HDD : 1x SSD + 1x 2.5" hdd
Fan : 3x 120mm
Peripherals : 1x Keyboard + 1x Mouse

So i thought of buying a lower one than the one i have now (Coolermaster RS-620 which i had from 2008 from my old pc) and decided to go with something a bit lower this time between 500-550 watt. According to psu calculators i tried online that amount of power would suffice for my system.

PSU Calc: http://outervision.com/b/sENc4E

So these are my options:

Enermax 550W
@ 72€

Thermaltake Smart SE 530W @ 60€

Corsair CS Series 550W
@ 80€

Thermaltake Smart DPS G 500W
@ 73€

I'm looking forward for your opinions and feedback. Thanks in advance.

I'd personally recommend the Seasonic G-550 (550W, Hybrid-Modular, 5-Year Warranty), Seasonic M12II-520 EVO (520W, Fully-Modular, 5-Year Warranty), EVGA SuperNova G3 550 (550W, Fully-Modular, 7-Year Warranty), or the Corsair RM550x (550W, Fully-Modular, 10-Year Warranty) than those PSUs you listed.

I know it's not on the list but I second Seasonic.

The've treated me well and they're warranties are great. I actually had an issue with their Fanless psu after 4 years of use. They replaced it with a brand new fanless that was actually a updated model.

+1.

The G-series is a great deal right now as well.

The selections you presented, none are particularly great.

I hear you all but unfortunately with the exception of the Seasonic M12II-520 EVO which is in the high zone of my budget at 70€ (i know i've listed one with 80€ but i would prefer not to go as high as that) everything else in your suggestion starts at 100-110€. In matter of power usage i should be fine with only that wont i?

That one would be fine, you don't want to cheap out here, its not about power usage but about quality. The Seasonic is your best choice.

Definitely get the Seasonic M12II-520 EVO as it is the one within your budget (at high ~70€). It will be a better investment than the other PSU's you listed at the same price range. As said above, it's about quality.
