radiator damaged? or not?

i sent a picture to radiator company and the said fin is bent too much cant guarantee it will not leak or stuff so better get a replace one. but since it took me another 2~4weeks to get a replace one do you think this one is ok to use? what you guys think?

Hello... it's pretty easy to check for a leak... fill with water/? and let it sit for a while... Take a look at any car/truck radiator and you will see bent fins... there is even tools out there for aligning them... Radiator repair companies will apply slight pressure too when testing for leaks, and speeds up the repair/leak finding process... the fins don't carry water, they are there for surface area and Air cooling.

If it doesn't leak now, it's good. You should really look at a car radiator sometime--fins all smashed with pebbles and filled with dead bugs, yet they rarely leak from the core but usually instead the crimped-on plastic end tanks on the sides.

since liquid does not flow within the fins, that it self should not be the issue. The pipes the water flows in should be checked for sure.

As others have said, check out a car radiator it can have sections with the fins gone and not leak.
