I have two samsung 950 pro's, both 512 gb, I want to combine them, one is PCIe and another in the m.2 slot, can I still do that? Through PCIe I see speed decrease, 1100mb read/write vs m.2 slot - 1700/1800....

Solution
I'm not sure if you can properly set them up in a RAID array, but the only real benefit from SSD RAID is if you're using for parity/mirroring. You won't get any worthwhile speed increase from a striped RAID config, not with SSD.

Completely pointless to raid M.2 cards. You can do it, but you will not see one bit of speed boost is real world apps.

Also most boards that have more than one M.2 slot will turn off SATA ports and bring your PCIE 16x to 8X. just to have the second M.2 Activated.
