Hi everyone. So, I've always wanted to get a gaming PC. I've stuck to PlayStation since THE Playstation, but ever since I've seen all of the 'high-end graphics and resolutions' of the PC gaming platform, I've wanted to join the club.
Unfortunately, PC's are expensive, and building my dream PC would probably cost about $3000 upfront. I figured that if I just bought the basics and stuck with some budget components, I could just upgrade as I go.
So here is the parts list, tell me what you think.

As far as the LED's I would focus first on performance then add in the aesthetic stuff later on.

Custom, but almost 8 years old. OS is retail.

But is it worth it? $35 isn't a lot but the performance doesn't seem to scale much.

That looks pretty decent, but would add a SSD to it for sure.

Spending too much on peripherals & compromising the PC itself.

A pentium & a 470 is going to be wasted on a @144htz screen
