Hi i was wondering if there was any way to overclock my 620. I have aftermarket cooling, nut my bios is locked, so i cant change any values there. Please don't respond stating the risks involved, i know them. I was just wondering if any of you knew of any good software to help me increase my processors fsb. Thanks!

Solution
With the parts you have there really is not a way to overclock the CPU. AMD Overdrive needs to be supported by the motherboard and the BIOS to not be locked in order for this to work.

Maybe look for a different motherboard if overclocking that CPU is your goal, a used one on Ebay maybe?
I have an AMD Athon II X4 640 (not installed ATM) that was able to be stable at 3.8 GHz so they can overclock well but you need to be able to add voltage and adjust the Hyper transport frequency (what used to be called the FSB) along with the ability to adjust the Ram frequency at the same time.

If you can not adjust the Hyper Transport, formally called the front side bus (FSB), you can not overclock any CPU on that motherboard. Because the Athlon II's are all multiplier locked it requires the HT to be raised. because your motherboard is still considered locked, you will not be able to Overclock with that motherboard.

Locked BIOS doesn't mean you can not enter them at all, it means they are limited and only a very few items are able to be adjusted. These are most commonly found on OEM motherboards. OEM's include company's like HP, Acer, Dell, Alienware, ect..
