Should I upgrade to a 4790K?

I am tired of having a CPU that will not overclock beyond 4GHz. I think I'd be happier with a 4790K bought from siliconlottery.com that can reach 4.8GHz. My 4770K won't overclock beyond 4GHz. I've tried everything. I tried 4.6GHz. I get bluescreens. I tried 4.5GHz. It's a bit more stable but still bluescreens. Even down to 4.1GHz I get bluescreens. I am not wanting my overclocking hardware to go to waste. I bought a Z97 motherboard specifically to overclock with. I bought a big 240mm water cooler for the CPU. I can't stand only being able to get 4.0GHz. The issue here is money. I'd have to sell my 4770K, wait up to 21 days to get my money from ebay, and do without a computer for possibly 3 weeks. I'd rather not have to do that. If there's any way possible to overclock my CPU beyond 4GHz I wanna know. I've already tried raising the voltage. I tried messing with the base clock. I tried lowering my RAM speed. I tried lowering my cache multiplier. I messed around with the LLC. I turned off all the power saving settings. I don't know what else to try. Instead of buying a 4790K I could try my luck with another 4770K and sell the one I have and hopefully profit or come close to getting back what I bought the other one for. I doubt I'd get a worse chip.

Solution
An individual processor's ability to overclock is more or less up to chance. Some K processors overclock very well and some don't. I have a I5-3570K that will overclock to 4.4 GHz easily.

I don't know of any way to push a processor beyond it's given overclock potential. The processor's stability at a certain overclock isn't likely to improve. So, trying another processor is the only recourse.
