As I asked in the title, I have an amd fx 6300 and can activate cpu boost and not worry about overclocking. I asked this question because my pc has problems when overclocking, does it affect my fps or just performance, because cpu boost overclocks to the same max speed for my processor. And I was wondering if it actually mattered since it is the same clock speed and the same performance, I heard that cpu boost has slow downs or something like that but it never bothered me at all. By that I mean it has never affected me at all.

No, I am never going to upgrade to an intel cpu neither another amd cpu so do not bother writing that in response.

Solution
Overclocking increases performance overall and fps too. Your CPU max overlock speed goes to 4.1ghz, that means its safe at 4.1. But make sure you have good PSU and Cooling system. But I will recommend not to overclock even if it increaeses fps or performance. Its excludes CPU away from safe zone, even if you have better Cooling System, its life time will decreases more rapidly.
