I'm no hardware expert so I figured I would ask you guys what you you suggest.

I was asked to create a minimum requirement for a work computer, a server, and a sql computer.

Here is the background:

- the users are doing the basic work load such as outlook, word, excel and then our software, which runs from a shared drive on the server on the local machine
- sometimes (some of) the users need to run Mappoint, which can be a little memory and cpu intensive, this isn't a frequently run program
- these are usually small businesses with ~5 workstations and a server that has a shared drive.
- the sql computer would be running sql server express (only) for a small database for the ~5 users

What would you guys suggest for the minimum and recommended requirements for hardware for these computers? Figured I'd asked the experts!

So I really need the following:

Minimum:
Workstation
Server
Sql Computer

Recommended:
Workstation
Server
Sql Computer

Thank you for your help!

Work computer = G4560, 4-8GB of RAM depending on if possible with budget, relatively decent PSU like a Thermaltake litepower or something decent but cheap like an Antec VP or earthwatts.
Server depending on workload or use (e.g. game server), at least a 16 thread CPU for office server with 32GB of ECC RAM, a decent Xeon will do. NAS Storage will also probably be required.
SQL probably an i5 7500/7400 is optimal for intensive use with 8GB of RAM.
