Looking for a motherboard to pair with a 6700k and to use with windows 7. Can be either a z170 or z270 (providing Win 7 can be used on it)

One thing I hope someone can help me with - I have noticed quite a few reviews on Asus motherboards (z170 +z270) mentioning increasing faliure rates on their boards, in the medium term, not just DOA. Is this just a symptom of their popularity and market share, so more reviews (and more negative ones), or are their recent boards slightly weaker than before?
