No Brightness Slider Control in Windows 10 Pro x64?

I can't manually adjust the brightness of my display.

I'm looking in Control Panel/Display/Change Display Settings.

I've tried uninstalling the Nvidia driver and installing the Microsoft Basic Display driver. Still the same - no slider control. (I've since re-installed the Nvidia driver)

I need to be able to adjust it to use a monitor colour calibration device and software.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

D.

The best way to adjust brightness and contrast is using the settings of the monitor itself rather than adjusting this from Windows.
If the setting doesn't exist in the monitor onscreen display or buttons, then you wil need the full Nvidia driver and open the Nvidia Control Panel (not the Windows display properties).

1). there is already audio slider for win 10. so there is no motivation ( either money or for myself.)

2) if there is display or audio driver issue , my app cant do anything about it. cus its just a switch.
